So I was on Facebook a couple of minutes ago and Stern posted a picture of downtown Chicago when they were filming Transformers 3, and I had to comment.

A: Because I watched some of the filming in Chicago last year and am super stoked for the movie.

And B: Because I'm super excited for the next Stern to potentially be a Transformers theme.

All I posted was, "TRANSFORMERS 3!!! Two days!!!"

...and they deleted the whole post. What gives???

The issue is that 99.99% of all Internet contributors are wholly unqualified to hold any sort of admin or moderation position whatsoever. Take an average guy, a family man. Can hold down a job and more or less plays by the rules. Give him a modicum of faux "power" over something as ultimately inconsequential in the scheme of things as a pinball fan page, and the guy will suddenly let it go completely to his head.

See if they blocked you too.

You post anything they don't like, anywhere, even places other than Facebook. And they will block you.

Lloyd The Great

wow that's pretty insane they would block you for hyping up a movie. I can see if you were using racial slurs or something but seriously over a movie comment? Weak.

Reminds me of those egotistical morons that moderate over at avsforum.com.

I've tried to participate there for years, but often find my posts being deleted because someone asked something similar in a thread from 1997 or I did/did not put a hyphen in "bluray".

They're quite ridiculous over there.

STERN's facebook idea for marketing/info is fantastic.....their actions, however, leave something to be desired.

in short: their facebook mod sucks ballz.

i've had several posts blocked as well....one of them was something along the lines of "i can't wait to see the TRON vids!!!"

they set it up as a fan page (yes...fan page...the pin collectors, not the distributors) and then they treat the fans like crap. not really fond of their facebook page anymore...as soon as TRON drops, i'll probably quit following them.

I agree. It's a great marketing tool as it is for a lot of companies especially since it's free. But I think they need some work on PR. I've read other people saying their posts had been deleted, especially when people were looking for a TRON vid.

I haven't been blocked, but I can only imagine since I started a "Stern Gestapo" thread here I will be at some point.

They just posted another picture of the filming of Transformers. It's a prop used in place of a Transformer since they are all CG. I should do it again and see what happens, lol.

Oh well...

UPDATE: I DID do it again and they deleted the whole post. Lmao...

Maybe I just need to get a life and stay off the internet... lol.
