Stern expanding

Good for them. Nice to see what he has built. Was looking pretty dismal for pins after wms folded & the first few Stern games were junk. They have really put out some great stuff the last decade. Hope to buy an Elvira HoH someday.

I thought this was going to be about a cab with water damage
Ok, I did too. Like, its located in the pacific northwest and the humidity seems to be affecting it?

Nope, just buying some the depressed industrial real estate in Elk Grove Village. Wonder if 20 to 30% growth will continue though.

As bad as the Illinois tax structure is, they probably would have been better off moving to Indiana or Wisconsin, where the tax load is a lot less.

Yeah, but they would miss it. I know if I wasn't back every few months I would miss the area... especially the food.

Anyone done a tour of Stern?

They're all Chicago people, they're staying there because of their roots there and employees like greedycrisp said. They've probably even got specific factory workers that they feel help the company be viable and can't be easily replaced.... keep in mind Stern himself has been in Chicago like his whole life, and it's basically always been the home of pinball. The taxes suck but maybe they paid off somebody so they don't have to pay as much.
