Sorry man if I played drama queen. Too many Sunny D's and Rum.

Although this has been talked about before, what is YOUR preference for finish for most of these - semi-gloss or gloss, latex based or oil based?

I prefer semi-gloss for most, but I'm working on a Stargate cabinet now and have your stencils. The finish on this one and most Stargates I've seen is very glossy, so I'm going to go with gloss. It's probably the same sheen, originally, across all the Williams cabinets, but Stargate just jumps out at me as shiny.

Most if not all williams cabs were semi gloss from the factory, paint was actually tinted lacquers. They also clear coated the cabinets with a light clear lacquer.

However, in modern times, i've used waterbased minwax semi gloss clear with good stable results.

Just so you know. This can happen with Automotive paint as well.

The solvents need to evaporate from the previous paint before the next color goes on, and the current color needs to dry completely before removing. Sometimes that will all depend on Temp, Humidity, and a ton of other factors. It just happens on occasion. Even happens to me. :)

Sucks but it's the price for perfection.

Thanks for the new stencils prOk. I really appreciate that. I think I may only need to use the yellow on the left side, as the other 2 colors on that side turned out perfectly. These are all cut to the same scale, so using just one color on that side should work perfectly as well, yeah? Alignment shouldn't be too hard with the other 2 colors already in place.

they should line right up.. the alignment boxes are in the same places I just split all the colors out so if you have those boxes still on the cab you're golden.

Nice, but I have no boxes from the first stencil. I do have a few of the yellow windows still in place though. That should be enough.
