Going to pick one of these up tomorrow. I know a few people here have one, and was wondering if it would fit in the back of my truck, or if I should bring two trucks? I know it comes apart into three pieces, but I've got a four door colorado, so the bed isnt as big as a normal truck.....

That beast is big...
and _HEAVY_ .. something like 900lbs!

Flyer claims it is 49.5" wide, so it may fit.

Hope you got lots of help..
cheers

Congrats on that one, is it the one in Sieverville? I watched that one from the day it was listed (Ill be going thru there next week) and started to buy it but didnt because I didnt know if it would fit in my truck either:rolleyes:

I have not taken one apart, but I think its going to break down like a t-mek as the seats, the overhead part and the huge cabinet. If so figure 250lbs 75lbs and 575 lbs..

There is a slight chance you can get it in 1 truck.. you should be prepared to pull the 25" monitors to make it moveable.. Good luck!

Yes, it splits in two peices. You'll have the front half with the monitors and steering, and you'll have the Seats and overhead cockpit shit on the other half. Waaaaaaaaay too heavy to pick up and put into a truck. Even if it was lifted into the truck from a forklift, I doubt the peices would fit in.

The seat half was like 4 foot by 6 foot alone.

Yeah, it was the one in sevierville, it is actually at a helicoptor tour place. The guy made it sound pretty easy, (sound, being the key word) he was like, yeah, me and the guys'll go ahead and pull it apart and put it by the door so you can come pick it up tomorrow, even said he'd help me load it up. Im bringing two guys with me. Heres the bad part which I am dreading more than anything, Im putting it into my "Bar-cade" which is on a second story, which means a flight of stairs is involved here......sigh....

wow, you got some serious workouts ahead of you! :)

The Good: there are wheels on the bottom of both peices which makes rolling it an easy task.
The Bad: I really think the only way you'll get it into the truck or up the stairs safely is by removing glass and monitors.

The back half isn't bad if I remember, but it's awkward as hell to move and lift. The tower sections which come up to hold the canopy are pretty fragile, if they are given too much of a love-tap on the loading, they'll give way.

Hmmm Im starting to think bringing two trucks might not be a bad idea....Wonder how long it'll take me to pull both monitors out...

I used to love that game when it first came out. Good to see it's going to a good home and not getting parted out for the monitors.

So I finally got it up the flight of stairs and into the bar-cade, (with the help of four other friends and a wrenched back) It was late, so I didnt mess with it too much last night, as for the good, I found well over thirty dollars in quarters in the money box, and as for the bad, it appears one monitor may be out. It does, however play blind, so the board seems fine. After I get off of work today, I will go up there and tinker with it some more...

Were the monitors removed from the cab before moving it around? Might not have hooked it back up correctly.

I didnt have the security bits needed to pull the monitors out, so I had to carry the cab with monitors intact (AWFUL). Went to lowes and home depot, neither sold the bit I needed. On top of that, the top of the cab was starting to frost over, so I wanted to get it inside pronto. Im going to mess with it today after work and see if I can figure out whats up. Im hoping maybe something got jarred around and I can get it to work. I wouldnt even know where to look for a replacement monitor for that game...

go to an automotive store for the security bits.

Something else I forgot to mention, the fire button does not appear to be working on the left side, hopefully a wire just came loose.(Yet another piece on the game that needs the special bits) Thanks Gozer, I'll drop by and pick some up this afternoon!
