I don't visit this section of the board much. In fact, I forgot it was here...anyhow, does anyone ever post when Steam has some awesome sales?
I try and check there for good deals but sometimes miss them. That being said, I think that a lot of us know the types of games that others around here like, and I think it would be super(!) if we kept each other abreast(!) of good sales...and whatnot.

That is all.

It is very common, actually. However, you can just keep in mind that steam has sales all week, every week.

There's a weekend deal and a midweek deal, if nothing else. Other times, there will be a different sale every day and then a weekend deal. This repeats.

The most important time to make sure you check it out is in December - their christmas/new years sales are always killer.

Lots of sales going on right now. I missed the ones on 11/24, but here's what's still good for another 13 or so hours. I highly recommend the Indie pack and Defense Grid. Also, Super Meat Boy can be pre-ordered at 33% off ($10).

Just bought the indie pack. It'll give me something to play on the home laptop

Puzzle Agent is great, and I've heard nothing but good things about Gish and And Yet it Moves. I don't know much about the others, but for $5, you can't go wrong.

I actually just bought the Indie pack and was coming over here to post. I'm not familiar with any of the games, but it looked like a great risk for $5.

More good deals again today. The next Indie Pack is a nice one as well. I highly recommend World of Goo and VVVVVV, if nothing else. The others that come with it look good as well, so I'm sure I won't be disappointed for only $5.

Other deals today that I'd recommend: Blur, Burnout Paradise, Torchlight, and Machinarium.

I thought about the indie pack today. I already have world of goo and the others aren't jumping out at me.

I've been playing puzzle agent and it's pretty fun. I'm considering the new Indie pack and Torchlight.

What games is Torchlight most comparable to? I'm digging the fact that the system specs on it are so low. I'm almost ready to jump on it just for that.

Diablo. In fact, it's made by ex-Blizzard North developers, so there you go. For $5, you can't go wrong at all, but I'd say it's worth the $20. It has a netbook mode which lets it run on just about anything, which is cool. The only thing missing is multiplayer, but that's what Torchlight 2 and the eventual Torchlight MMO is all about :)

Edit: check out some reviews here if you want - but if you ever came close to liking Diablo, there's no doubt you'll like this.

Another day, another sale. The indie pack today is once again recommended. I'd say that Beat Hazard alone is worth it, but AudioSurf isn't bad and I hear good things about the Bit.Trip games.

Outside of that, the L4D2 deal is awesome, of course, though I'd suspect that most people who had Steam have it by now. Also, that Lara Croft game is on sale, which is cool. I have it on 360 and enjoy it, but I got a friend who only plays PC who wants to do co-op, so I think I'll pick it up here as well now that it's cheap.

Some great stuff today. I picked up the puzzle pack and if I didn't already have the Orange Box, I'd totally pick that up for $7.50 (I paid $10 about a year ago). World of Goo is also a pretty good pickup for $2.50

Today's indie pack isn't bad, but I have most of it already, so I don't know if I'll pick it up for the remainer or not. I wasn't too impressed with Cogs or Dropletz, but Shatter is worth the $5 alone. Puzzle Dimension looks pretty cool, so I might go ahead and pick it up. Ah hell, who am I kidding, for $5, I know I will.

Another decent day for sales, though I was hoping for better. The indie pack isn't a bad deal, but I already have all but Flotilla. Altitude and Plain Sight are worth it.
