Stealth Rebirth of the American Arcade Article

Despite what most outside of Alabama would imagine, Huntsville, AL is very tech/engineer/IT oriented, with Marshall Space Flight Center, the 2nd largest defense contractor research park in the country, Boeing, Northrop, SAIC, etc....

I could totally see this concept being successful here, if it included the craft beer thing.. there are 2 or 3 local breweries here and draft beer selections are just exploding around here.. I don't have the money to try this, but I could see it working.. with it being
a) a hangout for geeks
b) offering craft beer/odd food
c) live music occasionally

I still don't think you could really make much money, but I could see it doing ok.

Very cool article, makes me want to plan a road trip and visit some of the arcades that are opening up near me.

You've got a retro arcade in Huntsville. DreamTR just opened another Game Galaxy down there.

Wasn't sure if that was open yet.. last time I was in Madison Square I saw all the stuff in the old arcade space and figured that was his. He won't be able to do the craft beer thing and will limited by the mall hours/rules, but I wish him well and plan to visit now.
