starwars episode 1 help please pinball 2000, pinbox

Looking at getting a pinball 2000 starwars episode 1 pinball but missing the cpu. Does anyone have the pinbox Torrent they could share? And pc specs needed to run the machine??? Please help really want the machine but can't justify getting it with no parts available out there.

The CPU is easy to find since you are lucky to be just missing the chip. It is good that you still have the prism card. I have extra CPU 's in my inventory.

Get a Nucore system. I heard that they will be making a new batch soon. Or you can find an used Pinball 2000 computer system from someone who has upgraded to Nucore. I bought one a few years ago for $200 (complete with Prism card, daughter card, motherboard and metal box). Go on Pinside and post an ad.

Nucore has been rumored to be returning for years, but still hasn't. With everything surrounding it, the players, what happened, etc., I don't see it happening. If you know for fact my thinking is wrong, please speak-up. My hope is they will make it available again for purchase.

I just consider myself one of the lucky ones since my SW:E1 is still running on original hardware.

Pinbox is out there, you just need to dig a little to find it.

It's running off Ubuntu 8.04 so it will run on older PC's but I don't
know about newer hardware. You might have trouble getting the sound
to work.

Nucore is the unicorn of the pinball world. They keep saying they are going to re-release it, but nothing comes of it. At this point, I wouldn't count on it ever seeing the light of day again.

If there was a defined availability for it, I would say it would be the best solution. But that isn't the case.

Float a request on Pinside. Someone might be able to help you.

One Suggestion:

It's not available new anymore, but on eBay...

MSI H61M-P31/W8 LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
StarTech.com 16-Inch DB25 Parallel Female to IDC 25-Pin Header Slot Plate (PLATE25F16)

Just saying...
