Hi,
I'm posting here a few images about the technical self tests of the game. Most of them definitely need some tweaking according to the manual, but I really don't have any idea to understand what needs to be done. Can someone please help?

CROSSHATCH PATTERN DISPLAY
GRID PATTERN DISPLAY
the manual says, in both cases, to "refer to the linearity adjustement procedure in the Analog Vector-Generator Schematic diagrams"--- can anyone please where do I find this info and how can I make these displays look as they should?

BIPOLAR OFFSET TEST DISPLAY
the manual says that there should be just one box, which is obvioulsy not what it looks like... they say "adjust X/Y bipolar offset potentiometerslocated in the digital to analog converterand bipolar current sources circuit on the analog vector generator PCB.

RASTER SCREEN DISPLAY
This one is a mystery: it's fairly different from what it should be according to manual, but it just says that it's used by the manufacturer to adjust the white tracking of the display circuitry... in the pic the colour looks white, but it's actually red.

The looks of the game in-play is not bad - as far as I remember it looks pretty good and vectors seem fine. I have a problem with the yoke controller, which is not responding, but that's another story...

I don't know which monitor is mounted on my game, what I noticed cleaning the screen, is that the cathode tube displays some remnants of the TEMPEST (vertical) videogame. Tehre is no brand anywhere on the monitor and behind it, I am really unable to determine which one is it...

Thanks to all
Best Wishes

The crosshatch patterns look pretty close. You can tweak further if you want, but everything should look pretty good as is. Judging by the geometry problems, you have a 6100 in there - you'll never get it perfect, the game board was designed to work with the Amplifone, which has a different deflection angle.

The BIP screen you can definitely dial in, and this will improve the way the lines making up objects line up. It'll also make the raster test screen look better. Using a mirror so you can see the screen from behind the cabinet, adjust the X and Y BIP pots on the vector generator board - you'll have to slide the board stack out of the cabinet a bit, but the wiring harness should reach so you can get at the controls while it's all hooked up.

Thanks for the answers.
How do I recognize the vector generator board? There are a few boards...
And how exactly can I adjust the X and Y bit pots? Where are they exactly on the board And how do I recognize them? I'm sorry but I'm a rookie on this...Thanks

There is a schematics manual.
It has 2 of the test directions there.
I may get it after weekend and try to post.
It took me 2 hours to adjust mine.
it was way off.
Take monitor out and connect on box or milk crate
while adjusting.
you may need to buy harness extensions from smalltownguy.
Doing it with mirror is pia.

First step is to adjust the BIP. If that's OK, the diamonds screen will probably be good too.

You have to regulate the pots on the game PCB set. If you pull it about 10cm. out of the cage you can see all the pots in the lower corner.

I am STILL planning to take a pic of those pots and indicate which pot does what....but still haven't got to it....

You should be able to get the info from the manuals and schematics.
