Just picked up an empty Centipede cabaret. It will be a future project to get together, but will be cool when completed.

Does anybody else have a soft spot for cabarets?
Why yes I do. You don't think of 6 inches in width (and a lot more height) would make much difference, but when you have a tiny 660 square foot condo and a space hogging hobby, you take back any space you can get. If it makes any sense, it makes the difference between a gameroom with a TV and couch and a living room with games. Here are mine and I love my A.D. cabaret. Thanks again Keith!Does anybody else have a soft spot for cabarets? Got a few to show?
Super Missile Attack gives you a free city every 8,000. It is a cheat sheet so I know when the next free city is (I'm not good at math while trying to play) when I am employing a strategy XXI21 and I call "niching." When you're down to just one city, you don't bother to protect it, but make sure you get enough points for the next bonus city but not too many so you don't get two free cities at once and get just past the next free city score. XXI21 is much better at it that I, but I did beat him at Super Missile Attack doubles once at CAX (and made him take a picture to prove it).Nice.
What's that piece of paper on the left of the monitor plexi?

Then you owe it to yourself it seek out XXI21 at the next CAX or check out his youtube video(s) to see him do it, he is the master.I like this strategy. Gonna try it!
So after going to CAX for the first time, I was exposed to hundreds of games that I had only read about or saw pictures of. Including a slew of cabarets. I have heard a lot of talk about things like "Cabarets are ugly, theyre a waste of wood and boards" etc etc. But after seeing all the different cabarets and how simple, clean and "cute" they are, I have actually really taken a liking to them. I think my favorite was the Asteroids Deluxe that was next to the giant music video screen. I played that thing for a good 20 mins and got my name on the board a few times too. I thought that the tiny vector screen was beyond fascinating.

Get one, you will not be sorry. I was "on the fence" and saw mine for sale for close to a month before I pulled the trigger. I could not be happier.and have been debating getting an Asteroids Deluxe. I think I need to go test one.
