Long story short, I bought some games from the local roller rink. 1 of those games being a dirty, sticky, neglected, and stinky Slugfest. When I first booted it up, it had a non-functioning bat and several stuck switches. This game is CAKED with soda, beer, candy, and general roller-rink sweat and smells horrible. Being in the same room as the other game I brought home from the rink (T2) has made the Drewcade smell absolutely disgusting.
Anyways, after doing a general wipe down, putting a nut back on the bat arm, and un-sticking some switches, it plays and is becoming a quick favorite. Here is the to-do list:
1. Replace 48 burned out light bulbs/flashers (see the lit playfield picture)
2. Replace the bat linkage bolt/roller
3. Replace Billy Bumpkin's target spring
4. Replace CPO and "BAT" button
5. Give the inside and underside a bleach treatment and the outside a serious cleaning
6. Find a new Topper
7. Find a baseball card chute
8. Replace O-Rings on the card dispenser roller
9. Repaint coin door
10. Top it off with new red T-Molding
Right now, I have a bat roller linkage, light bulbs, and target springs on the way from Bay Area Amusements, a CPO from Marco Specialties, and a BAT button assembly from MAD Amusements. Parts should start arriving tomorrow.
