A friend of mine wanted a nice donkey kong, he had a mostly working but ugly DK.

I traded him the game I restored it was really nice, he gave me a little change, his DK and a working phoniex. (also butt ugly). A fair deal, I didn't see much of anything of a return on my time, but I enjoy it, and I know he will enjoy the machine.

I started the restoration today by taking the joystick apart and cleaning it up completely. I took a good long look at the monitor and made some adjustments and fortunately its alright. its probably an 8/10. I am okay with that for now.

I would like to do a top end restore on the machine.

Here's what I'd like to know:

Who has the best sideart now?

I am also considering purchasing the mikesarcade control panel. Does anyone have any experience with these.. will my original joystick mate to the cp without issue?

thanks for any help you can offer.... I keep you up to date with the process.

Just repaint the cp you have and call it good.
They come out real nice.
I would buy side art from Quarter Arcade.

Mikes dk Control Panel your JoyStick with not work with it. Same with old Buttons they are the wrong size!

Everything is Happ with his control Panel.

Wow that looks allot better than the nintendo cab I started with. How are the sides ? That paint finish will be hard to get if you you repaint it, looks like from the pictures its in good shape as it is, shouldn't take much to restore it
