I would never pay retail, but what would retail price range probably be on a Starship Troopers pinball? Just curious about something. Figured I would see what people say before I explain the situation.

$2400-2800? i'm just guessing based on some retail prices i've seen for comparable titles.

i took a quick look at some retail sites that i know of, but none of them had starship troopers listed.

I had mine listed for sale around 900-1200. Had a guy email me offering 500. I told him sorry I couldnt go that low. Then he told me he has some arcades and have games for trade if i wanted to do that. Just to get an idea, I asked how much the blitz was and how much the street fighter the movie games were.

He quoted me 875 and 925 per game. I told him thanks, but I am not interested. Not really looking to pay retail prices.

he came back with:
"Yes those are our retail prices as was the price you quoted me for the pinball"

So I was just curious what retail on a Starship Troopers would be. So with his thinking, a old blitz or street fighter is the same price as my pinball.

your price was most definitely not "retail".....he was apparently off his rocker.

500 bucks for a late-era DMD? Dude is a lowballer looking for a "steal" more than a "deal" IMO. You'll never get dollar-for-dollar equivalent in trade.

Your price looks good for a player-owned machine. Retail is like 2x that IMO.

I paid around 1600 off of ebay and that was only because it was very close and I didn't need to add on shipping. It turns out it was in very good condition. Some small adjustments, new flipper rebuild and a wipe down and it looks great. Have also seem one on CL for around $900, condition unknown. I probably paid a little too much, but it was my second pin and it was local. Need to replace some bulbs and put new rubber kit on. That looks like it is going to be a pain. That ramp is HUGE and has to be removed to get at stuff.
