I have A Stargate pin and ordered a LED kit for it. The problem I am having is the LED's are not working on the lamp boards. I tried rotating the LED in the lamp socket , But only one or two LED's will light up on the lamp boards. Regular bulbs work fine. Is this normal or is there a problem with the power supply not putting out enough current. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank You

Yikes. If rotating them doesn't work I don't know what the issue would be. As far as voltage - no. LED's pull less so certainly not the issue. I'm curious as to what brand or where did you buy them? I do remember reading about people having LED issues but turning them was the fix.

These system 3's can be a little finnicky with LEDs... I have two that had the same problem as yours (CO 1812 and R911) and it really comes down to the bulb holder. I use the PL x3 LEDs under all my inserts too.

I am assuming these are not the wedge base and are the 44/47 bayonet style? If they are the wedge base, Pull the leads outwards on each side and then reseat the bulb.

If they are the bayonet style, I had to use a dental pick and pull the center up a little bit to cause more tension between the bottom and the bulb.

I really hate the System3 bayonet bases in general. In my 1812, I had to reflow the solder on just about every bayonet base just to get them to work reliably.

I figured out its an LED compatibility problem. I tried some cointaker LED's and they work. I guess the lamp boards are picky. I will order more LED's fom cointaker. Thanks for the help.

I am locate in Gonzales, La.

Yep...definitely... That is why I mentioned I used the x3 LEDS from Pinball Life. Terry stated in his earlier batch of cheaper bulbs, they would only work in certain locations. On his newer bulbs, I believe they work in all locations now. I am thinking about trying out his "Ghostbusters" out as System 3s are notorious for ghosting. I use Cointakers for frosted bulbs as I like their look better, but I love the x3 in the inserts as they really pop...

LEDs are definitely are trial and error...every game is different, and every LED is different too...

Good to hear it was something simple.
