Stargate project cab. Monitor works. Chesapeake, VA
Got a Stargate project cab for sale/trade. Here is link to the post I just did on CL

I have a project cabinet for Stargate (Williams 1981). It had been converted to another game, and I was going to restore it, but I just dont have the time or mojo. I can demonstrate that the monitor works.
The Good:
1) Monitor works! (Wells-Gardner K4600 19") and very little burn. Worth the price already. Could use a cap kit, but they are cheap.
2) The side art on one side is in really good shape.
3) Cab is structurally sound
4) Original Power supply, PCB mounting plates, and (most of) original wiring harnesses are still there.
5) The original control panel is still there (but there is a catch - read on)
6) Plastic curved crt bezel is there (not the decorative overlay)
The Bad:
1) No Coin-mechanisms. There is a button that was wired to give a credit when pushed.
2) No marquee, and needs a ballast (or wire in a new flourescent fixture)
3) A JAMMA wiring harness was installed. Could be a good thing. Depends on your plans.
4) The joysticks in the picture have been removed.
5) The control panel would need some woodfill and redrill to restore to "Stargate" layout. Possible to do.
6) Needs a new set of arcade locks (not really required, but a nice touch)
The Ugly:
1) The side art on the other side is in pretty rough shape.
2) The schematics on the back panel are gone (but I can print you some replacements)
3) Needs some black paint touchup
If you were to restore it to a Stargate, there are options ranging from getting the 19-in-1 Jamma board and marquee, to the extreme of getting an original set of PCBs and artwork. There are also conversions called "Multi-Williams", but since I have never done one, you would need to check out some arcade forums. There are a couple boards made by ArcadeShop and JROK that can be used.
Because it has a JAMMA harness already installed, you can also put in most games that used joystick/buttons and were made after 1985. For example: The game that was in it when I bought it was Ninja Gaiden.
If you lived close by, I'd be willing to help you with the restoration (for fun), but it would be your responsiblity to get parts. If you wanted a cap kit done, I'd do it after you bought it ($45).
I'll deliver it for $10 within 10 miles, $20 up to 20 miles. $30 up to 30 miles, ect... Of course, I would need to be paid up front.
Send me a message, I'm pretty easy to work with and love the arcade collecting community. Just have to be a bit stern (heh-heh) up front to keep away the "tire-kickers". Actually, I don't mind the tire-kickers that much.
Last thing: I'd be willing to trade for things of similar value like arcade PCBs, marquees, neon lights, arcade joysticks, spinners, trackballs, or $80 of beer. etc....
Thanks!
