so i got a stargate cocktail as some of you may know.

surprisingly it still works despite mice being in it and years of collecting dust

the hole setup is original and that has me wondering about the power supply and it's original caps ect anything to worry about with them?

It's not just the caps that have aged. if that were my game, in addition to recapping the boards, I would also be replacing all of the header pins and wire connectors with new connectors and pins as they are ~35 years old. These are common things to do in early Williams games such as Defender, Stargate, Joust, Robotron, Bubbles and Sinistar since they are all basically sharing the same hardware. While you are at it, do the battery mod to your MPU board to prevent any (or any further) corrosion damage due to leaky batteries.

i would agree rebuild that power supply if its all original. i stock the cap kits with EVERY cap even the axial one and i also have the complete rebuild kit. i own almost every williams game and i do the cap kit and rebuild kit on everyone of them. let me know if you have any questions. stargate should have the D8784 power supply but i have seen some with the D8359 but the link has both in it and if your not sure the D8359 has the heat sinks on the pcb and the D8784 has the heat sink located separately.
