Hi,

The only arcade machine I have so far that I can't just power on and play is Stargate. Is there a hack or setting to make it so you don't have to push the Advance button to play?

It's not a huge deal, but I like to keep all my coin door keys in one place and I either have to pull out the key every time I want to play or leave the key in the door, which I'd rather no do. So, just trying to see if there is a way to not have to open the coin door every time?

Cheers!

I've never owned a Stargate, but that doesn't sound normal. My Joust just booted up to attract and it runs the same board set. Are you seeing an error displayed that requires you to skip past it to get to attract mode?

Weird, I put new batteries in when I got it (as it didn't have any) and it has always done that.

It doesn't show any errors (that I can see). It just runs through the setup and sits there saying tests are complete:

INITIAL TEST INDICATES
ALL SYSTEMS GO

I guess I'll double check my batteries.

Update

Just following up. It looks like the terminals are corroded. So, I decided to order a lithium battery replacement. Hopefully, that solves my issue.

I might look into replacing nvram modules, but trying the cheaper solution first. :)

That should hopefully take care of it. The Stargate that I used to have was still running with AA's and it booted to attract every time. I probably replaced them just for not knowing how old they were. The holder was ok and the game saved settings and scores.
