I was trying to fix my Stargate yesterday. When I turned it on it had a Yellowish screen with bars on it and you could kind of make out RAM 34 which was flashing on the board 1-3-4 So I replaced it and it said RAM 35 which was flashing on the board 1-3-5 So I replaced it and there was no more ram error - then the screen came up for book keeping (No Batteries - had to yank them they were starting to leak) But that screen was yellow instead of black and the size of the letters on the screen was wrong and not all of the words were on the screen. So I turned it off - reseated some more chips, now it turns on makes the carpet screen but it looks wrong and it has little blinking dots on it. Then the game makes the start up sound and the screen become scrolling vertical lines that are a rainbow of colors. Any idea where I may want to start. Thank You. Bart

Check the voltages at the RAM chips. The voltages should be
Pin 1 = -5V,
Pin 8 = +12V
Pin 9 = +5V
Pin 16 = Ground
The pins are numbered starting in the upper left corner (the side with the notch), going counter clockwise. If any of them are low or are fluctuating more than 0.1 V you need to check your power supply.
