I have a stargate which at one time was playable i yesterday i turned it on for the first time in about 4 months and all player controls are not working.

It is NOT the interface board. Its is not a rom or ram error. I have no errors. The game comes on and looks fine but no controls work. Voltages are dead on.

I put the main pcb in my main working stargate and i get the same result: no controls.

So it is definitely something on the main pcb that is cause this issue.

Any idea which chip, chips or components may be the issue?

Check the page 0 decoder circuit (see attached from Defender theory of operation), this provides the signal to enable the interface board PIA

Component ID's may be different for Stargate but the operation is the same

forgot to PM you back, been very busy with the arcade opening at work.

I seem to recall something with the batteries, but I don't think that should affect your Rev. B board. I have a ton of Stargate rom boards but I'll have to check storage to see if I have any MPUs we can swap if you get stuck.

philmurr called it, verify the Enable signal is pulsing when game is running. If not one of those two devices has failed.
