Stargate Cocktail Restore!!!!

I just really got a chance to start doing a full restore on my Stargate cocktail. Here are the pics so Ill let them do all the talking.

Here is what I have done so far. I completely removed the laminate and will start on the body work tomorrow. The whole thing will be painted satin black and the sides that orignaly had the laminate will be replaced with wood grain vinyl. I also got to polish some brackets and kick protectors

Just sanded some stuff with 120 then ill be fixing any nicks or scrapes and chunks missing then spraying with automotive grade primer sealer that hardens. Then kyrlon satin black for the color. More pics to come

too bad the wood has some gouges, because you could almost stain it and urethane over it instead of putting on woodgrain vinyl.

You have a good foundation there, nice solid cabinet... cps already look good just need cleaned up.. should be dope when done.

Well I got some more done today. I repaired some stuff and shot some prime. One side I haft to redo because I tried sanding and the primer wasnt dry enough and it gummed up.

Fixed my screw ups today and added another coat of primer and sanded to 400 then to 600 then shot 4 coats of black on. Turned out awesome. I can wait to get the tmolding slot routed and the vinyl put on the sides.

Just ordered my vinyl for the sides.ill be routing the grooves for the tmolding this weekend and next week it should be around 80% done. the last thing ill be holding for a bit is a new glass top

Im not to sure how stargate would play on a cocktail because of my big arse but man do I want one. That machine looks awesome! I would say that would be my second grail!
