I found this arcade that I have not seen before has anyone been there it looks like a cool place. What games do they have if you have been there? It looks like they had a baby pacman so I am going some time and they have a lot of other games that I want to play.
They have been open for a long time...I never knew of Star Worlds

This place is awesome. This is a true arcade that's been open since the mid 80s. The owner Pat is a very good friend of mine. This is no pay one fee junk this a true token arcade. Pat rotates games in and out allot to keep it fresh . You will spend more time looking at the walls then playing the games because he has so much video game related stuff on every inch of the place. All games are well maintained also. Off the top my head he has these in right now: centipede , house of the dead, pacman,Ms pacman, jr pacman, baby PAC, burger time , moon patrol , robotron , Tron, crazy taxi , are 51, DDR, shuffle alley, tetris, point blank, red tent machine,Nintendo super system, qbert, nibbler, donkey kong, dk jr, playchoice , die hard, wizard of wor, rush racinhg, hook pinball, fire pinball, caveman pinball, jet spin pinball, space invaders , smash tv, and more. Like I said he constantly rotates games in and out. He is really nice and loves to talk about arcade games. I've sold pat some of my games and traded with him also. I talk to him at least 2 times a week to see How its going over there.

I've been there. My friend and I went on a whim one day and had a blast. We were there for hours. It is just an old school arcade, and he does rotate games to keep it fresh. Lots of games to play and Pat is a really nice guy.

I go there a couple times a year. The game selection changes often and it's nice to have something new each time I go.

They are awesome. While I haven't made it down to DeKalb yet, they come up to the Midwest Gaming Classic each year and run an amazing room. I'm scheming on a way to go down there with my son (aged 2) this summer for a day of playing.

They had a Super Mario Bros Mushroom World pinball machine there last year that I had loaned them for the year :)

Ironically, since I posted this, I actually saw Pat and Glenn, who stopped at my house today to drop off some DVDs for me to sell through the Midwest Gaming Classic site about the arcade. I usually run a post-MGC, I gotta pay some bills sale of DVDs, and I need to get together the three that I have for sale this year and do that pretty soon, 'cause those CC bills are getting due...

I was luke warm about the old arcade era, until I met Pat and Glenn last year.
Re-awakened the fun of a real arcade from the 80s. They are the real deal if you remember the 80s arcade era. and if you are too young to remember it, then visit Star worlds and you'll know what it was like (well multiplied by about 10 with cool lighting...)

Your mario pin was a blast Dan. Thanks for sharing. I've heard Batman is getting crazy amounts of gameplay now. very cool of you.

Pat and Glenn... both good friends and very cool people. I don't know if I can say anything else that already hasn't been said. But I can reiterate... it's a true old-school '80s arcade that has stood the test of time, with memorabilia all over the walls and a real jukebox playing 80s tunes. Like taking a step back in time when you go in there. Absolutely brilliant and recommended.

I resonantly went 2 weeks ago it was THE BEST I really liked the baby pacman as I played it for like 2 hours total and the hack pacman was so cool I did really good surprisingly! I want to go back and I won the hat trick tournament too!!!I talked to Pat (really nice guy) and he said that he would help me fix my trivia whiz and help change it back to a qix I think it was because he thought that it was cool to have 2 games at this age because he started to collect around my age.I WANT TO GO BACK SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2012 is a good summer as it is the 30th anniversary of a bunch of great classics.
you'll have to visit for their summer promotion involving dual joystick games, in the planning phase right now (see my avatar...)
they are creative and i'm sure you'll like the contests. need not be a video game superstar to participate and win, either.
