Well, you have me confused to start. You can start a game but cannot play blind. Playing blind means you can hear the game play but you have no picture. There are several tutorials on fixing XY monitors but if you are a novice, there is a steep learning curve and you need to have quite a few parts on hand before takcling it. In addition, there are several "fixes" that are recommended an not many of the sellers of parts include everything you need. We also need to know if you have a WG6100 monitor or the amplifone. You probably have a 6100 replacement monitor in the cabinet. If you do, you could remove the back door and see if the spot killer red led is light on the right hand side of the monitor on the deflection board.
Seeing as you are a new poster. I am sure you probably have very little idea of what I am talking about. So, it might behoove you to look for somebody in the forums that is close to you that could come out and take a look at your game. Pulling a 6100 out of a Star Wars can be a bit of a pain.
