Before you even consider doing business with RC, look in this forum.

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=78

Thats right--an entire forum on KLOV entitled "Warning: RamControls.com".

While looking for a SW Yoke, I searched through both the KLOV and BYOAC forums--100+ pages of people pissed off because of multiple lies, $25k+ in documented unfilled KLOV/BYOACers' preorders last time I checked, prepaid preorders unfilled for YEARS while a few new orders were filled in days, one guy's credit card was charged twice more for a preorder five months after he prepaid w. no goods shipped, a class action lawsuit that is still in court, etc.

When you look at the whole RC picture, it follows all the patterns of a con job.

IF you foolishly decide to ignore all the advice and warning signs against doing business with them, make sure that you:

1. E-mail their sales address. Notify them that you know about their history. --Include a link or 2 to some of the more damning threads.-- Lay down the ground rules and conditions that you will do business with them. (Notify me when it's built THEN I'll place the order, no backorders, good tracking # within 3 days, etc.)

2. Don't let ANYTHING go on backorder. If you don't have an active tracking number in less than 5 business days, CANCEL + demand a refund. A common scammer's tactic is the "We got slammed with orders, but we'll get it out to you soon" trick. The objective is to send up a smokescreen of "sincere" apologies and run out the clock on your ability to file a paypal/credit card transaction challenge. Don't let the cycle close with an unfilled order.

3. For the rest of the time that you have the account that you use to order, watch it like a hawk so you don't end up with a drained until declined account like the guy that got charged 3x.

Of course there is one other place where you can get a yoke. . . but I don't think you'll like the prices.

Your best bet is to start scouring E-bay, CL, and these two forums:

Best of luck with your search, I sincerely hope it leads you to find your prize somewhere other than Dave's doorstep.

Firefox = 100% compatible, the only difference is the overlay.

There's a list of other games somewhere around here that tells which controllers are fully compatible.

I think that ESB, ROTJ, Firefox, Turbo Sub, Hydra, and Lock-On are all good SW substitutes.

S.T.U.N. Runner is partly compatible. It needs the plate blocking y-axis motion below horizontal removed (2 screws), one y-axis spring added (available at VGP), and handles w. thumb buttons if you're playing ESB. (Replacement handles and switches available at Suzo-Happ)

The one to watch out for is Road Blasters - It looks like it might be good, but different internals=no y-axis and the x-axis is optical instead of a potentiometer.
