I just had some star wars boards repaired and this is part of the email I received

You'll need to readjust the X and Y scale to work best with your monitor; we have them at
almost full minimum now so you'll only get a postage-stamp size display
(assuming the spot killer on your monitor doesn't kick in first).

what is the best way to do this? witch pots need ajusting?
thanks

On the arcade board there will be some adjustment pots. These are for changing width/height and position.

All monitors are not created equal. Some may be Amplifone and others may be Wells-Gardner. Also, some will have new caps and transistors, and others won't. Therefore, you will need to adjust them to fit your monitor.

They turn them down just in case you have something like a WG with a marginal low-voltage section. Sudden overdriving may be all that it needs to go bad...

The pots are labeled, and the adjustment procedures can be found on page 27 and 28 of the schematic package:

If you can't figure out how to get into Test Mode, it's in the manual:

Pots are located on the PCB:

thanks modessitt
that is what I needed I could not find it in the manual I did not want to just start turning pots

If you have a WG 6100 there's a troubleshooting guide that goes over some of these adjustments in pretty heavy detail. A quick google search should turn it up, if not PM me and I'll point you in the right direction.
