I recently picked up a star wars I've been working on. When I turn the game on in test mode it goes through the 16 test beeps perfectly. When I flip it to play all I get are a few random lines. I reseated all chips and still get this same screen. Any ideas?

Do you get any picture in test mode?

Will it coin up and play blind?

Looks like you've got a video out problem anywhere from the Dac08 to the outputs.

I would measure your ac volts on the x and y output to see if one or both are dead.

Looks like at least one output is dead.

I just got a chance to look at it briefly. I was able to coin up and did get it to play blind. While playing I get more lines on the screen. But no picture.

Not saying it is but it could be a bad AVG chip.
Here's a video of one of my Star Wars boards that the AVG was flaking out.
I also had another one that was completely gone bad and looked something like yours but I cant remember if the game would play blind but it was putting random lines on the monitor but I never took any video of it.

It ended up being a two part issue. I first tried swapping the AVG chip from my ESB board set and I saw the words scrolling up from the bottom briefly then it blanked back out. I borrowed a deflector board and now I've got my picture back with both avg boards. Thanks for the help.
