A while back I posted for help getting my Star Wars arcade up and running. Well, it's been repaired (by elektronforge) and is running great! Now I'm looking to sell. Here's the text of my craigslist ad...

This is an original, working Atari Star Wars arcade machine from 1983. It runs and looks great, and must be seen to be appreciated!

The game was in an arcade for a few years before being transferred to private ownership around 1990. It was used for a couple of years until the game stopped booting due to a bad graphics processor. It then remained untouched and covered in a closet until this year, 2010. I pulled the game out, fixed it up a little (replaced lights, etc) and had the game PCB's professionally cleaned, inspected, and repaired. It now plays flawlessly and all self-tests check out okay. It's a thrill to play!

This is truly a great game. But, I want whoever buys it to know exactly what they are getting. So, here is every detail I can think of.

The game does have a little wear as you would expect with its age. The colors in the side art are a little bit faded, and there is a little bit of light cracking around the edges. Above the coin door there is a small crack as well in the veneer, next to a 2 inch glass slot for an arcade tag. Aside from that it is beautiful and original.

The video is clear and crisp and bright (and flickers a bit like vector-lovers know). The monitor is the WG6100. There are no issues with it as far as I can tell.

The audio is clear and loud.

The control yoke is solid and well performing, with all four buttons working. The left thumb button works fine, but occasionally (once every 10 games?) gets stuck on and has to be pushed once to unset it. New spring under the button I think is what it needs.

The marquee and coin door lights all work. (the marquee art is beautiful!) The coin slots both work and trigger credits. The right coin return sometimes gets stuck and needs a new spring.

I do not have the keys to the front or the back.. Inside all the original components are there. The safety shield over the voltage generator and power brick were removed at some point.

Like I said, the game runs great. I played through it several times to be sure there were no issues and because I like playing it. I took several pictures, although they of course do not do it justice. I took a video of the gameplay because cameras don't capture vector monitors very well.

I am asking $1,250. The game is located in Knoxville, TN and must be picked up. Please email with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Haha, yeah, I don't mind the comments. I assume you guys were talking about that converted lounge chair machine on ebay. Thanks for all the good lucks.

Oh I meant to say earlier, I am very appreciative for all the help the KLOV folks gave me when I was troubleshooting the machine before I got it working. So I'd much rather it go to a KLOV member... I'd shave $200 off for a KLOV member right off the bat.
