Hi. Just wondering (really, just wondering - no action planned yet!)

Could an Amplifone from a SW Upright (boards, mount, tube and all) swap cleanly / without hacking into to a SW Cockpit?

Vice versa, can the cockpits 19 inch WG61000 swap into the upright?

Or are we talking about completely different mounting brackets between cabs?

Thanks KLOV.

Absolutely! They all came with Amp's originally. Even if a cockpit currently has a WG6100 in it, the Amp connections are the same....for either the 19" or 25". The 19" WG6100, 19" amp, and 25" amp (option on the cockpit) use the same fram mounting bolts in the cockpit as well. The mounts for the AMP's circuit boards should also all still be there in every cockpit & upright, unless someone pryed them off :)

Putting a WG6100 chassis in a cockpit is not that easy. Wire lengths are pretty short.

You probably have to fix a shelf in there.

I don't like the WG6100 set-up in a cockpit....but it is possible. Be sure to cool the chassis....

Got one in mine. No need for a shelf....bolts right in to the standard mounts.
