What seems to be the going rate for one of these? My gameroom will be getting some space back in the next month or so and I want one of these to fill the spot.

I've seen them sell for around $400 to $800.
I paid $450 for mine working all the way, no issues.
My is the upright BTW

I think I paid $600 for mine a few years ago, fully-working and in nice shape. It's the upright Namco version with the chair.

In the case of this game, size does not equal value. Usually the deluxe with the bench seat has to be given away for next to nothing simply because of it's ridiculous size for home use. $400-$600 is what I typically hear a deluxe going for.

However, the upright, which is easier to put on location or home and takes up less space tends to sell at around $900.

I paid $650 for my UR with the Namco seat (built in speakers & sub). I had an offer for $1100 on it that I turned down, only because I don't want to let the game go.

I was thinking the same thing because they are definitely not fun to take a part if you happen to move them downstairs. Mine is a hybrid of a the two sit-down versions. It has the deluxe bench version control panel, but has the seat/chair from the other deluxe cab. It was definitely a pain to move, but worth it.

also the issues with it being a rear projection screen monitor.

Yeah mine was a PITA to get running when I got it. Even now the picture still isn't converged the best, but I'm glad it's at least running. Whenever I see an upright on location, I'm jealous that they have less headache to worry about when it comes to their monitors. :(
