Hey-
I'm Ben, new to the group...I have some classics in my collection...Midway Space Invaders, Pac-Man cocktail, Donkey Kong cocktail, upright Centuri Phoenix and a Gorgar pinball...Also have a vegas slot machine and a King Kong Pachinko...I now just bought an upright Sega Star Wars Trilogy which is being freighted to me as we speak...The seller said that it worked fine until some of the game screens started looking "blocky", then he changed out the boards and the screen starting saying "No Feedback". He said that he took the power supply out for another Sega machine that he had. So I'll be getting it with no power supply and possibly bad mother boards...Does anybody have an extra power supply for this machine they would be willing to sell or advice how I could use another power supply? Most of the games I had needed restoration, but I pretty much replaced parts with the same parts so no re-wiring needed to be done. The thought of messing with the power supply wiring is a little scary as things could end up frying worse than they are lol...Any advice on this upcoming project would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben in CT

Im new at this myself but the power supplies seem to be one if the easier and cheaper plieces to replace. Have you looked up any of the parts for thay machine yet just to at leaat know the spesifics? Try googling "star wars arcade power supply" and see what comes up

Most newer games do not have unique power supplies. Most either use a standard switching power supply or one that looks more like a PC power supply.

You should probably spend at least an hour studying up on switching power supplies until you become comfortable with the idea of installing one. Particularly since you are likely going to have to install a different style power supply in that machine than the one that was originally in it (my 1996ish sega cabinet has the more square PC looking power supply).

Power Supply

Thanks for the advice...I'm lucky that the missing part is just the power supply which can be pretty standard...Maybe my display issues will resolve once I switch out the power supply...I'll keep you posted.
