I've got my Star Wars Trilogy machine finally put back together and have the game running. Right now I cannot aim to the left or right...only up and down. In test mode the calibration isn't show any activity on the left to right direction. The panel has apparently had a problem with left/right movement before I got it so I'm hoping it's a simple fix. I checked out the wiring and didn't see anything wrong. I tried swapping that little amp pcb and it made no difference either. I even tested the pot and was able to see it change its range of values when using my meter. The only odd thing is I can't get either pot to show the full value when checking between both outside terminals. Since one pot is working I'm not horribly concerned about that reading. Anyway, the last thing I noticed was that the 2 outside wires (one red and one black) were switched around on the non-functioning pot compared to the working one. A real simple question, but does it matter which outside terminal those wires go to?

Bump! Ok so it turns out there are 2 wires going into the joystick side molex connector that do not mate up with anything on the cabinet's half of that connector. Turns out they are for those black and red wires for the non-functioning left/right control. Can anyone take a pic of how their Star Wars Trilogy stick is wired? Specifically I'd like to see the molex connector for the joystick and what wires go where. Someone definitely messed around with the controller at one point, but I don't see anything with the connector that looks hacked. Maybe there is some obscure wiring difference in game revision or joystick versions. I have no idea except 2 wires are hooked to nothing for some reason. Thanks for any help.
