I can really use some help if anyone has run into this problem before. My Star Wars cab has been running fine for the last year. i turned it on yesterday . playing fine as usual. After a few hours the picture goes out. I open the cabinet, see the spot killer is on. i check all fuses and they are fine. I also notice when I restart the machine , i can hear obi wan speak but when it says "red 5 standing by" it takes a long time and it wont go any further. I am stumped and tried reseating the connectors on the board. it has a WG 6100 in it that was rebuilt. Im steering more towards the board. i doesn't launch into the game but i can hear the startup sounds. Please help. I also replaced the Big blue last year.

Another note, when i turn the brightness up on the monitor I get a white dot.

If you know someone that has an oscope you can attach it to the X and Y output of the bd and use the vector mode. If the logic is running you will see an image on on the scope even though there will be many more lines than normal since a scope dose not have a spot kill circuit in it.

I would bet you have lost one or more of the monitors transistors. One way I have modified me SW for overheating/ monitor problems is to put a computer fan inside the cabinet.

Put the game in test mode / turn it on - listen for hi / low tones - you should hear 16 beeps (hi tones). If you hear any low tones - one of the chips is bad.... that is a start at least?

Always hard to tell if its on the monitor or the board when spot killer comes on (for me anyway).
