Fortunately you can replace them without taking everything apart. It is a pain, but can be done.

Old ones on the left, replacement on the right.

Yeah....well I did the complete yoke work-over and the rubber on the originals had gone really soft and mushy...

Was a nasty job to get the stuff off...

These were my remains of the original bumpers:

Please provide details! I have replacement bumpers, but I cannot separate the two sections since i have a stuck screw in the main section where I can get no leverage to get it out.

Here is how I did it. Not easy, but I did not want to tear down the whole controller.

1) Remove flight controller from control panel
2) Remove cover (4 security screws, see blue circles and screws on opposite side)
3) Remove screws from Handle Assembly Collar (3 screws, see red circles, remove with Allen wrench)
4) Separate the handle assembly from the base. The wiring harness will limit the distance you can seperate these two assemblies.
5) Remove bump stoppers (4 of them, 2 on the handle assembly, 2 on the base. See yellow rectangles). I held the nuts on the inside with a crescent wrench or plyers and then turned the screw with an Allen wrench.

Thanks, MH. My problem is with step 3. One of my screws, the one closest to the viewer in this case is frozen and I cannot get enough leverage with the side of the yoke main chamber in the way. I just may have to let it sit in penetrating oil for a day or something...
