I having a problem with my Star Wars project. Im hoping someone may be able to help me out.
I thought I would check here for advice before I send it out for repair.

I using a good rebuilt 6100 that was tested in a Gravitar just prior to trying it in SW.

I tried the 6100 in the SW and the F100 and/or f101 fuse blows when powered up.

The SW AR board and power block was tried and worked in the Gravitar.

I then put the AR board and block from the Gravitar in the SW and the fuses were blown when powered up.

I did check the voltages on the Main and AVG PCB's. I didnt write them down, but I beleive that they were fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just finished restoring the electronics on a Star Wars. Mine has the Amp, but some of the issues are similar between the two.

No matter what the voltages read, I would definitely replace the "big blue" capacitor at the bottom of the cab. Also, I'd rebuild the ARII power supply board as well. Lots of old caps, and voltages will become erratic without quality new caps to replace them.

Also, a lot of fuse pops are related to shorts. The only time fuses blew for me was when the bottom of the new big blew got shorted to the metal plate at the base of the power block. You may want to check to see if the cap is touching the metal at the bottom of the power block. Also, make sure the fuses going in are the correct rating. I found several in my Star Wars that were not right, and replaced them. Most notably, one of the five fuses on the power block is a 20a/32v fuse surrounded by 4a/250v fuses.

Hope this helps, keep us posted!
