So I pull a working WG 6100 this weekend from a Space Duel game to install in my SW.
I first had to extend some of the wires coming from the chassis so it can reach the game board connector, done. Plug the chassis connector to the PCB connector, flip the switch and the monitor showed the SW high score screen for 5 seconds and then said 1 credit, pull trigger to start. Everything is great, next I go to rewire the yoke since someone cut the connector off the yoke end. No problem I find a missing end that matches pull the wiring schematic for the yoke and get it wired. So everything is wired, turn the machine back on and nothing on the screen just some noise. Well long story short, I checked the yoke wiring and that's fine.
So I disconnect the monitor cable and replace F4 & F5 fuses that had blown and turn game back on. It's playing dead again, I hear the "may the force be with you" sound.
Turned game off, plug monitor back in and as soon as I turn game back on F4 and F5 fuses blow again. Not sure what is wrong at this point, the monitor did work, briefly, but it did work, so the wiring must be correct.
I don't have any other color vectors to switch parts with.
Any ideas?
