Hey guys,

I found a good deal on a Star Wars Pod Racer...is it worth paying $300 for it?

thanks
Jason

Hmm yea maybe I should grab it and start my damn collection already. I made my own 4 player custom style showcase cabinet - Mame (don't hate) but I realize nothing is like the originals. I want to start the collection off and even though it may be an odd one to start with I might as well make it somewhat of a collectors item :) .. do they make different sizes for this game, or do they make just one sitdown deluxe size?

thanks
Jason

different sizes but all of them are pretty damn big and heavy as fuck

I would get it, if I had a proper gameroom, and the space for it. For a relatively recent game, its both challenging and fun. Sure its going to take up an entire wall, but it would be an excellent show piece. Its a good game, and they stuck with a simple old school feel.

If it is the version that uses the original tube monitor make sure it's working. They don't make that monitor anymore and it's hard to find parts for it. That may be why it's $300.

This is true, however if you are into this game and dont mind putting money into it you could put an LCD in it as the game is just VGA.
If the monitor is dead you should be able to get it for less then $300, most the time free.
If it is the big 50" then good luck finding space for it, but you can put a 42" lcd in it.
