My Star wars PCB is playing up, so I need that working to do other projects. (IE: Amplifone Deflection)

This is the solution I designed recently. Got some PCBs back from the board makers today

The pic shows a re-configured Interconnect board. A flat version, so the boards can be tested in an opened out position as opposed to back to back like they are normally

I had to source some 86/43 way (2.54mm) edge connectors, I got some of them off eBay, so I look forward to rigging something up soon (these get soldered to the finger area)

I have the 30 Way and 44 Way Edge connectors (3.96mm) ready to make a test harness, which replaces the filter board side (the 30 and 44 way edge connectors get soldered to a harness), then onto a 30 and a 44 way fingerboard

I will take a pic of the test rig once the harness is made

This looks great, I could sure use something like this, about to embark on some SW repairs myself for the first time.

No probs
You will need 3 of these (2.54mm)

Also get 1 x 15/30 Edge connector (3.96mm) and 1 x 22/44 Edge connector (3.96mm)
Try to get the eyelets, as they are easy to solder wires to

. . . . .

I have my 3 x 43/86's on the way, so I would like to assemble the proto prior to offering these for sale. I had 10 pcbs made so there are extras

The connectors arrived today from the US
6 days Using DHL, mind you it cost a LOT for DHL

This is the PCB Below idea, in case it wasn't clear :)

A third connector (Optional) can be soldered to the holes in the centre if you want to test the sound board too

I just need to solder the tags to the board

Nice. What's the approximate cost of putting one of those together?

Hi Darren
The connectors are on eBay for about $7.75+ each (23.35 + 3.85 freight = $27.20)

The bare board will sell for about $20 (KLOV Price) plus freight. Likely Freight will be $7.50 or so ($27.50)

If you make a harness for the 44 and 30 pin connectors, all that gear is cheaper and common, maybe add another $10.00 to make up the kit

$64.70 Approx, ready to plug into your SW Harness

This is not a for sale thread, so all that will be finalized when the first one is made this weekend.

Guess what?

Pin 2 on the Star Wars Filter board (Harness side, 22/44 row) is not connected to anything

Not sure why, it connects using a track at the PCB end, just not the harness end
