Ok, I got my PCB worked on and when I plugged it in today I got nothing.

Well, not nothing.

-All lights on the board are lit
-All fuses check out
-Monitor turns on (or at least the lights on the monitor board are lit and you can 'hear it' power up)

But beyond that, nada. Absolutely nothing. Nothing on the screen, no sound, doesnt do anything. WTF...There are no interlocks on this thing, DIPS are set correctly, so it is not something silly that I'm missing...I dont think?

I should mention that the cab had worked with known working boards so I gotta believe its the board.

You need to check the +5 rail. If it's low use the pot on the ARII boad to increase the volatge. If it won;t adjust you most likely will need to rebuild your ARII board and if it hasn't been done already replace the Big Blue cap on the power supply. IF the +5 is present and solid then yes PCB issue.

I just had the same problem this week, same symptoms exactly. I swapped out parts and narrowed it down to the AC power block.

I replaced the big blue capacitor. Nothing.
I replaced the bridge rectifier under the power block. Nadda.
I replaced the all the fuses and the fuse holder. No love.
I replaced the transformer, and voila, she lives!

I actually used a AC Power brick from a Centipede. I have several laying around if you want one. They are heavy, but fit nicely in a bulk rate USPS box.

ok, i turned on the game this am....now, it plays blind. the monitor shows a small stretch of color... looks like a 2 inch comet....any ideas wtf is going on?

Did you check the interconnect board to make sure all 3 boards are firmly seated in the connectors?

Make sure none of the pins pushed out of the monitor's molex plug - either on the monitor side or the harness side. Check the LV power supply in the monitor.

Once i have a minute, I need to first check power at the board terminals. If the power is too low/bad, could it be keeping it from generating vectors and thus creating just a streak of color on the screen?

And yeah, I pulled the interconnect and then put it back on. Its on here firmly.

ok. checked the power today. looks like the 10.3 is off. with the board connected i can get about 8.8 which gets the game going, nothing really drwan on the monitor though...with the board disconnected (and at the power board) i can get the 10.3....but again when connected i get less than 9 at both the power board and on the game board.

any ideas?

Ok, I rechecked the power...Here's what I got...

1-3: 13V
6-7: 17.1V each = 34V total
10-11: 23v total
15: 45V

It seems like its running 'low'...?

Hmmm, is it the same brick as centi? Plug and play? If the power is my issue then thats the easiest solution I suppose...

It is pretty much the same. The only difference seems to be an extra power output for the fan.

Let me know if you want one, as I have a few on hand.

thats whats i figured. so pacray, you had a star wars with the issues i am describing and you plopped in a centi brick and everythbing worked right off the bat?

jimjaycee, do my voltages seem off enough to be causing issues?

thanks guys

Testing Pins (a-b) indicate test pins
(1 - 4) 14v DC, (2 - 4) 14v DC, (3 - 4) 14v DC,
pin 4 - 5 are tied together, (6 - 7) 36 v AC, (8 - 9) 6.1v AC, (10 - 11) 25v AC,
(11 - 13) 25v AC, (10 - 13) 50v AC

I did not see you voltage test for pin (8 to 9)
All your other voltage seems real close.
Do you have the Yellow wire connector socket below big blue or are the wires a
different color?

you're right...8+9 I got 5.4 when tested together....

Will check for the connector in a bit here...

additionally, pins 12-14 are empty pins on mine...And there is no pin on pin 15 on the harness/molex side but there is one on pin 13 which is strange b/c there is no pin in the power brick molex in pin 13.

Regardless, this thing worked (albeit incorrectly) with the original board. I got the board fixed and now it plays blind, save for a streak of color/light on the monitor. I did have the cab on its side in between doing some cosmetic work...

Additionally diode D800/spot killer on the WG6100 board lights up strong after startup but then dims during 'play'...But stays on to some degree...6100 has the LV kit installed

Jimjaycee, there is a connector below big blue (big green in mine) that has yellow wires that all connect back to the same connector...
