I have a Star Wars and it has Spaeth's SW/ESB kit installed. Everything appears to work great. Today however, I decided to put it into "Freeplay" mode. Crediting the game manually would not be a problem except it loses the credits when I switch between SW & ESB (I assume that's normal). Today, when I pulled out the CPU board, I found the dip switches were allready set for FREEPLAY on. Is there something more I need to do? I can't seem to get the game to go into Freeplay with the kit installed. It has been a few years but the machine was going into Freeplay prior to installing the kit. Anyone ever run into this B4? What am I missing?

You can change the settings and "override" the dip switches IIRC. You can set the freeplay mode in the set-up menu. It then ignores the physical dip-switches.

This is not a special function of the kit, but is already implemented on the original hardware.

You are correct! The setup mode was set for coin play. Thank you.

I have spaeths kit and it didn't affect my freeplay settings
The kit didn't affect mine either. What happened is that when I first installed the kit, I also played around with the setup menu. That was a few years ago and I simply forgot all about it until I read the reply today.
