Star Wars monitor smells like ozone...and now is displaying garbage

I'm starting to lose my steam for maintaining my Atari Star Wars. Vector monitors already intimidate me, so each problem doesn't help matters. Anyway, the first issue I had with this machine I fixed by putting in a new Big Blue no big deal. The next issue I fixed by putting in the LV2000 kit in.

Well here's strike three. Now on my display there's just a little garbled mess showing up in the bottom left corner. I've yet to start troubleshooting it, but any ideas?

Ever since putting in the LV2000 I did notice that the game smelled a bit like ozone, which I asked about here: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=101648

So my options are to give up on the machine or to pay someone to really go over it and try their best to bullet proof the machine, because I can't seem to keep it running reliably. Any advice here?

Ozone smell is most likely caused by the fly back arcing somewhere. Probably just a small HV leak, not big enough to hear it poping, or see it arcing..

Well, I figure it's probably not a bad idea to replace the flyback anyway. I probably should have done it when I had the chassis pulled out for the LV2000 upgrade. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll keep digging.
