Hi,

Putting the final touches on the functionality of Star Wars.. I think the last thing left is that one of the trigger buttons does not work. I took the yoke apart, and the micro switch is damaged.

Anyone know an x-ref number for it? Something I can order from Mouser or the likes? The Atari number is 160026-001, which is not all that useful!

Thanks

I found him. Great selection of replacement parts for the Yoke, but honestly I don't want to spend $30 ($20 + Shipping) to replace one switch that I can probably get for under $3.00 + an envelope and stamp!

Sorry, I am being cheap.. Times are tight.

His page is bookmarked for the future, if I need a major overhaul of the yoke.. But for now, I just want to get a cheap switch.

Sent an email to Dave...

Checked the www.videogameparts.com site as well.. $3.99 is reasonable, but cant figure out how to get the cost of shipping. I tend to not give out my name/address/phone/creditcard without a total with shipping (Sorry, been screwed too many times on these here interwebs!!)

Yea, I am a real pain in the ass. Sorry!

Check your local Radio Shack. I found one there a few years back. You may have to remove a small metal piece from the switch they offer, but otherwise it is an exact match.

I think it was Radio Shack # 275-016 or 275-017 microswitch that works in those.

If you lose the tiny screws that hold the microswitch, Radio Shack # 64-3010 are the screws and # 64-3017 are the nuts.

Wow - this much work for $3.99? I guess you don't consider your time worth anything ... but these guys do. Just because it'll fit in an envelope for the cost of a stamp doesn't mean that's what they should charge you. They have every right to add a few bucks on to pay for "their time". David isn't going to swing you much if any better deal than Mylstar. Where do you think Mylstar gets his atari repro parts from?

Like I said, $3.99 is cool.. But I don't see any way to get a shipping estimate. It is not uncommon for Internet sellers to charge $10 to put something in a padded envelope and put a stamp on it. I saw no way on the site to get a shipping cost.

No disrespect to anyone! I appreciate all the help, I just have been burned before (other sites, not any of the vendors we are discussion) by entering all of my information in to a web site to place an order, then being told after the fact that shipping is 4X the cost of the part!

Being unemployed right now, my time has no value.. So no, my time is not worth anything.

I just checked my pockets, and I only have 3 left. :( Dave will get you hooked up though. Save some money and get one of his rebuild kits for the yoke. Then you'll be flying smooth..

Resurrecting an old thread because it helped me. The 275-0016 switch from Radio Shack is a suitable replacement for the Atari 160026. I just used one today to repair my Roadblasters left thumb trigger. It's not exactly the same, but close enough.

Below is the main comparison picture. Top is the Rat Shack part, bottom is the original. I've got a couple more on my web site (http://www.aaarpinball.com/Roadblasters/Roadblasters.htm).

Any other sources for this thumb button switch on Road Blasters? Rat Shack is out of stock. This is for the flat black handles.

What are the dimensions? I have a pile of small micro switches that look exactly like these.

If you give me height/width/depth as well as button position I can look at what I have tomorrow.

I have a bin full of these switches. They are old stock military parts, some are nos some were used in testing. The only difference is they are solder lug vs spade lug so the wires need to be soldered on.
These are the switches used in star wars yoke, I think they are the same as what you are looking for.

and let it be known it would be unwise to contact "Dave" at Ram Controls for these parts
or any parts for that matter :D

comment on the OP
OMG-Ive never seen a site where youd get charged any amount of shipping without knowing the cost at some point before clicking "submit order"
whether youve filled out that info or not.
