Has anyone ever heard of a Star Wars Hot seat? There were only about 75 of them made

I was told by the guy that only 75 were ever made and by the way he made it sound it was a XY game. He is sending me pic,s soon and I will post them

I've played the one in the links. It doesn't move. I wouldn't really call it a cockpit either IMO.If that's the one he's talking about it's a cool game and I've heard the boards are rare but, not as interesting as I was hoping.

The cynic in me says that if 75 of these existed we would have heard mention of it here before, if not have a KLOVer who owns one, but I hope I am wrong. If it's the original that would be a very cool find.

I agree. I've seen and played the twin bench seat version and it's nothing special, nor does it move. Maybe Dale has a shot at something quite rare?

Im sure there was an original star wars cockpit made that moved. There was a guy up here in Canada who had two. I dont remember to many details it was awhile ago

I hope this is what Dale is looking at. I would love to see it even though I'm not a fan of the star wars games. Just cool to see something rare. Someone should ask Scott Evans about this. He is the man when it comes to rare Atari stuff. I bet he'd know if one existed aoat least know someone who would be able to confirm.

I played a raster Star Wars game about 5-10 years ago that had a hydraulic system on the chair. It was a large screen raster. I seem to remember it playing three games and you sat inside a bubble looking seat to isolate you and for safety. I'm trying to find a pic of one online, but it isn't on KLOV and I have not found it yet.

The 'Hot Seat', was a third party product. It was a moving cockpit, designed to take the guts of a Star Wars machine and add motion. These were advertised in the back of Playmeter and other operator targeted publications in the 80's. Atari had nothing to do with these.

Jed Margolin, who designed much of the Star Wars hardware had also worked on a motion version of Star Wars, but it never got past the prototype stage. I have a hand written schematic for the motion board, somewhere in my collection of stuff.

Sheesh folks... GOOGLE is your friend.
