Hi !
I have a Star Wars cockpit machine with some voltage problems.Only the the "low voltage" lamp on the board lights but not the "high voltage" lamp.
I have just installed a "Empire strikes back" kit. Before this the machine was working fine(don't know if this has anything to do with it).The kit has been installed correctly.
When i turned it on i noticed that there was no light on the HV board. The fuse had blown and i put a new one in but now only the "low voltage" lamp lights.
I can play both games but there is no picture.
Hope someone can help me :)

Hi bb

Plenty of help available

What are your skills / background. Can you operate a Multimeter? Do you own one?

Also, there are 2 types of Monitors (as Major Havoc was alluding to), everything else is the same. So does the monitor have a 4" square board on the tube's neck - or is it more like a round 2" diameter plug, with lots of wires coming from it?

Star Wars high voltage problems

Thanks for the reply. It's the original 25" monitor. The problem is with the high voltage board(new replacement board).
I can get hold of a multimeter.Just need to know what to set it on and where to check regarding voltage :)
Here are some pictures of the back.

Tried the freq.adjustment but the HV led light wouldn't come on.Haven't tried the B+ adjustment yet.Don't know if i need to check that. The board was installed 7 years ago and has been working perfectly untill now.I can see that there's some blurry graphics around the edges of the screen.Guess it's like that since the monitor doesen't get the right or enough voltage.

Star wars

looks like the only difference was the ESB kit?

Do you have a spare game board set? (or borrow one)
I would get the game back to original state with known working game boards before messing with HV.
As you stated it worked before.

or Are you able to confirm ESB kit is working by placing in someones known working star wars cab.

Star Wars high voltage board problem

I don't know of any other working Star Wars cab.Maybe i will try and install the pcb back to the way it was before i installed the ESB kit.

Don' think it's the board since everything seems to be working fine exept for the picture. The kit was tested before it was shipped from Vectorlabs.
I think the problem is the high voltage board since only the low voltage led is on but not the high voltage led.I tried some tips from the high voltage board manual but that didn't help.
Hope someone has any tips of what i should try to do :)
