My question is about the DMD. It works 99% percent of the time, there doesn't seem to be an issue with the unit itself. The only time it malfunctions(so to speak) is when I hit the main ramp and the display normally says 1 out of 3 or 2 out of 3 and the tie fighter zooms by. Mine doesn't display the "out of" part. Everything else displays fine. I checked the ribbon cables and they all seem fine, one ribbon cable however, at its connection point in the backbox seems to be missing a pin. It is the ribbon cable that connects at the top and is the left one. I pulled it off the board and the top left pin was gone. Could that be the problem and if so, do I need to replace the board.

I can't verify this at the moment, but I seem to remember a pin being missing. I could be thinking of something else though.

What version are your display ROMs. It displays the ROM versions on the DMD when you start the game.

Rom

This is what I copied. A1.04 and also USA CPU 1.02 Not sure what is what.

A1.04 is the display ROM version, 1.02 is the CPU ROM version.

So you are not noticing any other issues or weird behavior? Did it used to behave differently? If not, then it just may be how it was programed or a bug. There is a CPU and display ROM version newer than what you have (1.03 and 1.05), but I don't know what changed or was addressed with the revision. I no longer own my SW, maybe someone else can look at what their game displays and let you know if it is the same.
