Star wars cockpit price check

Saw that earlier,If i had more money than brain's Id already have it.

I know what you mean; I wish I had more money than brains everyday! I just didn't know what these things are worth. I bet he'd sell it if you had $3500 in hand.

I'd value any sw cockpit working with the 25 and really nice art/yoke gears at 5000. Wouldnt let one go for less than that. Add a few hundy more for the ESB board.

While I thought that price was high, I didn't feel like it was completely unreasonable. It looked like it was in good shape, and it had the ESB board added. Aim high, and let people bargain you down to $4500 or $5000. Then, the buyer feels like they got a deal, and you, as the seller, makes what you want.

I alway's apreciate and anticipate your responses on these threads, especialy when i ask. But $5000 is a bunch o' ca$h,what makes it worth more than $3000-$3500? Just curious.

3500 is what the "every day" sw cp goes for. Were talking 19 WG, average yoke condition, so so art, scuffed Tmolding, typical wear. This one seems to be top notch condition (assumed), has the "grail" of all monitors, and the extra Esb board (assuming its not the switchable).

It wont fly off the floor at that price in this economy mind you, but it would pull it down evetually to the right buyer. You'd be suprised how much sick money some quiet members on this site would spend on MUCH less desired machines.

Exactly.....

There is some collectors out there w/ some deeeeeep pockets out there that are not on Klov...

The above idealogy applies to the Star Wars collectors out there...

Funny, I have a nice cockpit project for $1000 and all it needs is a monitor, board, and yoke controller and I can't get a buyer. Go figure.

Mine had an original 25" amp ,and it was a HUO and took forever to sell . I ended up trading games with cash . I guess no one wants to spend money right now lol.. i basically got $2300.00 total for mine .

We have one word here in Texas to describe that:

DANG!

I'd easily pay 250. :D

The reason this game CAN (imo) command upwards of 5000 is because of all the deluxe style or cockpit style games it is probably most recognized as a grail amongst non-collectors. Every person seems to remember it and it has good cross marketability with scifi nerds.

I compare it to an Addams Family pin. Its well known game which you see a broad range of prices on. Just like the LE Addams tends to run a couple grand higher than the standard, so to will the true 25"amp model with pristine artwork. These things wont matter too much to a non-arcade guy, so they'll gladly pay a lower price for a bottom-of-the-line model, but the die-hard "gotta have it" junkies must have the best of the best.

It is all in what some one will pay. I was told my Kiss that was signed my all 4 members and was new would never sell. Well it sold 2 weeks ago for 15000.00 and I hated letting it go for that. I kinded of wanted to keep it so I had it priced high so my wife could not bitch, she tells me I cannot keep everything so that is how I hold on to things. My HUO cockpit sold last year for 10k.

I just wish i could find buyers like that!

I don't have the patience to deal with people like that. 9 times out of 10 the person really thinks they are going to get the high price for what they have (and maybe if they wait the money>brains might come by.) But then it perpetuates the myth that these old obsolete games are worth a fortune. Just look at all the people trying to sell DK for $3000, because "that's what they go for on ebay." Never mind that is just the BIN price and not the sold auctions. Then a lot of them act all pissy when you give them a reasonable offer.

I really can't understand one of these being worth more than $2500 in top shape.

I honestly ask the same thing about some pin values and misc older vids. Like why on earth would anyone pay stupid money for a Twilight Zone pin? Its just a pin.
