Hi guys,

I just bought the Jim Davis, SW Arcade cockpit machine and it is currently being shipped to my apartment. And I have a few moving questions.

1/ I've figured out that there is one corner I cannot get around without tilting the machine forward to almost upright position, is this safe to do on this machine.

2/ Also I have to get it up a car parking ramp, is it light enough to be lifted/pushed by a couple of people?

3/ Does the machine split in half somehow for easy moving?

Cheers heaps,
Matt

No it does not split in half. In less you use a saws all. It will roll but you are better off getting a flat cart to put it on. And yes tilting it up is ok as long as everything is secure on the inside.

The hole think is screwed, glued, and stapled together, you won't get it apart without somewhat wrecking something, this I would NOT do with such a rare machine and famous previous owner. I'll see if I can dig up the dimensions for you and maybe you could make a template out of cardboard to better plan your route. The most weight is gonna be the monitor, without the monitor it is manageable with two people. As far as flipping it around that should be fine as long as you're careful and don't drop it, but first look inside and make sure EVERYTHING is tight and secure. I would also remove all the glass including the backglass. I'll look for the dims for you.

1. Make sure the monitor and the pcb's are secure inside. No loose parts, etc, etc.
I'd be more worried about your own safety than the machines. :)

2. Do you have any flat wheel carts. I suppose you could use those to put under it.

3. Don't believe so, regardless I think it should.

Alot! Especially since I live in New Zealand.
But I've always wanted one, and it was mint with the 25" amplifone, so when I saw this one for sale, money almost become of secondary concern.

us$7000 + us$1000 for shipping.

I'll try this, one at a time, cause klov wont let me upload a big zip file

Sounds good - enjoy!

I take the tube out if going up/down stairs. for your case id cut a hole in the roof/wall and rent a crane.

Doesn't sound that Good to the non millionaires, but yes-Enjoy

We pay what we feel things are worth. We can debate individual game worth all day and night.

The OP seems happy with the deal and thats all that matters.

Me, I am always just curious at prices.

We can debate 300 or 700 dollars but 7000.00? count those zeros, this is a LOT of money.
I don't care what anyone pays for anything but minus the 25" monitor you could have got at least three of them for that price and still been overpaying.

They got what they wanted, and paid what they were comfortable with.... nothing else matters, really.

I can't understand why somebody would pay $50,000 for a car. To each their own.

Congratulations on the purchase!
