I'm trading for a upright star wars that has an Amp with a new wintron installed. Seeing as this is my first color vector, what's all the hype about Amps? Most of my buddies have 6100s in their games and they look great. Does an Amp look even better?

It's also got Clay's SW/ESB kit installed. Was this the first multi for SW? Does it work well?

Thanks for any info.

1- It is Amplifone, not Ampliphone :)
2- Yes they look a lot better. The smaller dot pitch of the CRT produces vector lines which look much less jaggied. They look more like BW vectors than on the WG6100.
3- they are much easier to work on and have less problems than the WG6100, the design is better
4- once fully reworked as indicated in the Amplifone FAQ they are very reliable
5- Afaik Clay's is indeed the first SW/ESB kit. I think I read it can have some issues but I have no experience with them

Its definately the monitor to have. The fine pitch tube I think is nicer. I do think both are pretty reliable once they are updated.
