star wars amp picture rotated about 30 degrees?

any ideas?

99% sure its a yoke/tube problem

but what needs to be done im not sure

Certainly does look like the deflection yoke is tweaked... standing at the rear of the monitor you would need to rotate the yoke counter-clockwise until the image is straight.

You can turn the yoke without getting shocked... just don't touch anything else... grip it by the plastic... and don't wear any jewelry on your hands ;)

Don't reach over from the front to adjust it as you run the risk of hitting the anode cup with your arm!

Oh yeah if it doesn't turn ... you will need to loosen the ring clamp bolt... my guess is that it it probably pretty loose if its in this position.

got it straight, now just gotta do convergence, any tips on what screen to use and do i start with the color tabs or the 2 up by the screen?
 
Do you have the amplifone manual? It has a pretty good procedure for converging. You will use a combination of red, white and magenta per procedure. SW has all of thes test screens available when you throw the test switch and push the select button. To cycle through the colors I think the fire buttons on the flight yoke will do that.
