can you believe this!
My brothers Star Trek operational Simulator was just repaired and the repairman said that the sound was going to be low. He had the boards (and spares) and the PS. Once in the original cabinet it is TOO LOUD! even with the sound all the way down.
Could the speaker be the wrong type? volume pot be the wrong one?
It is cool being loud but it is just too loud!
another problem is the second coin mech doesn't register coins. all the wiring to the board is fine. We have switched the wiring for the two mechs and it is somewhere on the board that is bad. any ideas on fixing this. Kind of scared to touch it since it is working.
Two extra fans were installed and holes were cut under the monitor to ensure there isn't a fire hazard. Everything runs cool now.
