Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator - How Rare?

I'd never seen one of these until recently. How rare are these and what are they worth?

They are not rare.

What it's worth depends on condition and if it's working.

There are also several versions - Captain's Chair, Dedicated, Conversion....

Its a pretty cool game...even if you aren't a big Trek fan.

$350 seems to be the average going rate for a working dedicated upright in acceptable but not mint condition, based on what I've seen here. The convert-a-cab would be worth slightly less, in my opinion, and the Captain's Chair slightly more.

I don't think they're rare either. There aren't as many out there as there are of Centipede or Donkey Kong or Ms. Pac-Man but they can be found without too much difficulty.

Working G08 monitor alone is worth $350 and a working board set is worth over $300. Nice dedicated cabs $600-$800 Conversions $500-$600 Captians chair $700-$1000:)

That's what I was thinking for working games in decent condition. You can go higher or lower depending on if it's functioning... and what kind of condition the cabinet is in. Location also seems to have a HUGE factor in pricing... some things go for stupid money on the West Coast where they won't get half stupid money on the East Coast.

From eXidy's price guide:

Star Trek - Dedicated upright $400-$600. Collector/ebay price.
Star Trek - Convert-a-Cab upright game $200-$350. Collector price.
Star Trek cockpit - Dedicated sit down $500-$800. Collector price.

I paid less than that range for my dedicated upright.

Yea I agree with some of Jon Exidy's prices. Funny thing is I paid over 1K for my dedicated, and got it from Jon himself:)

The last Captians Chair I saw in Seattle was $750 of $800 IIRC. I tried to get it but it was sold. Dont remember if it was working??

Sometimes you can find a deal on them, but they dont pop up that often. I currently have 3 of them:D

I bought my SOS Cockpit for $120, repaired the wooden base, and turned it around for a nice $1000.
