Star Trek problems

Yup issue difinitely with speech board, I did the bypass and got nice clear sounds and no static. So now the issue is, what is wrong with the speech board. Should I replace the speech chip and the TL081 and TL082 chips?

Worked on the coin mechs tonight, and got them going. They were wired completely wrong. Thank god for wiring diagrams. Finally played some, STAR TREK. No speech yet, I am going to order the chips this friday, and hope thats the fix.

I've had good luck with both the speech and sound boards by simply replacing the little op-amp chips TL081 and TL082. If you've got an oscilliscope, you can look for signals on the input pins.

Give it a shot. They're cheap and easily replaced once socketed. :)

I might have a working speech board for you. Try the op amps first.
