I just got this and am trying to see if it will start. I found some broken wires and repaired them but in the seat there's a 2-pin molex connector labeled p-16 that isn't connected to anything. Should it be? I can't find the other end to connect it to.

Right now, only the fan in the monitor section turns, but the monitor doesn't seem to have power, nor do the boards.

Might be time to start looking at more connections and checking voltages, but i just started tonight and it's bedtime.

Thanks anyone for suggestions/info.

It's been a wile since I worked on my cockpit but I got out the manual and took a look.
First if you don't have the cockpit manual it would be to you benefit to find one. They make 3 different Star Trek manuals so get the cockpit version. The cover is blue and it has the word cockpit on the front cover.
Looking at the manual it looks like P16 connects to the same place, the EMI transformer, that P11 which runs to the fan in the rear of the seat and to a 6 pin Molex P23 which runs under the bottom of the cockpit to P40 which plugs in where the cockpit breaks apart and connects the rear seat to the front monitor section. P40 then goes into the monitor section and plugs into P26 which plugs into the monitor and supplies the 115 volts AC to the monitor. P11 and P16 also have 115 volts AC on the pins. It appears P16 has no connection but some people put a fan on the card cage so you could use that plug to power another fan. I'll try and look at mine tomorrow and see if I have anything hooked up to mine. I'll try and take some pictures too.
